to the wonderful mr. wrybod

Topic: dedicatedpoems

there once was a man on a site
i found him and try as i might
i could not stop from laughing
his prose makes me happy
and to look at his work i would fight

i'm a somber being at heart
but his words i loved from the start
poems about this
and poems about that
and the punchline is the best part

for all the poets i've read
many thoughts have stuck in my head
but none such as his
grateful so much for this
my noggin thinks and is fed

the exchange of rhyme makes me smile
and cheerful am i all the while
the meaning beneath
i grin through my teeth
this poet makes my day with style

i'm grateful to have happened upon
these precious treasures, like a song
thank you, dear friend
i think in the end
we shall be great friends, for so long

sharing has helped me so much
for these words of yours they do touch
my heart in a way
it brightens my day
this wise man i have found, blessings much

Ahhh..... wrybod.... now I haven't seen him around in quite awhile, but I remember all of the poems of his I ever read. He was a good poet. And this is a good tribute. I'm sure he appreciates it.
