Help me
Just for tonight
Tell me I’ll be okay
Say everything will be alright

Tell me I am loved
Tell me I always will be.
Even though they are all lies
I need to hear them.

Hug me and make it okay
I can’t help but feel this way.
Touch me and say “don’t be scared”
Please, I’m terrified.

I can’t help but think
About the pills in the bathroom
About the knife in the kitchen
About the cleaner in the closet.

My death is awaiting me.
Please,
Stop it quick.
I need to be here.
With you.

Sing to me our song
The one we always sing
I can’t think if the words,
But I know they are somewhere.

Help me pick up the pieces
They are all over the floor
And I can’t do it alone.

Kiss me till I cry
Love me till I cry
Hug me till I cry
Be with me till I die.

Please, stay with me tonight
You always make everything alright.

You did a really good job it was really touching. And I see the pain as well as feel it.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
