Shallowness sometimes takes over

Contributed by brew on Tuesday, 2nd January 2007 @ 08:24:12 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

Thus one can try to be shallow, but why?
Do they use it to hide...
Do they want to make others say; A waste of time
I dont belive so
I feel people take what is hurt...and pretend
Pretense of being, nothing...
Knowing that all can be there but, scareness prevails
SO they go in denile
They make one feel remorse
They tease and go on
Why can't they just....Love

It can happen
If for only....a brief moment

Hey Dayna girl!! Well said hun!

There are those who purposely manipulate feelings
and a situation to their own liking, by feigning emotions and what
all else .. and then there are those who (out of fear or doubt
etc.), have trouble articulating just how much those they love mean
to them. When we encounter that type of person, we need to
offer what compassion and understanding we can .. even if it
means our own small sacrifices ..

Those that would inflict pain purposely to ease their own
deflated egos .. well, they deserve our understanding and
compassion too .. but not to the point that we allow them to hurt
us.

I hope you get everything you wish and hope for in 2007
sweets -- for surely you deserve happiness and love.

Hope your Christmas was special
and you New Year, bright and happy. :)

*hugs*

~Breezy

This piece is on the forefront of dealing with sociopaths and it delivers the universal message of Love...

Well Done

Your write shows great depth and insight. My personal feeling is, that people don't want to be shallow... it's just easier to be crass than to get involved or show compassion. Your poem takes a provocative look at this and offers the universal solution... if we would just obey. Very well written.

Tottaly awesome as usual you have struck a chord of harmonious truth and reinforced it with wisdom beyond your years,

Why can't they just....Love . . . what and miss the joy of making other people miserable, u know dayna, if you asked them to spell love, they'd probably spell it as follow's . . . HATE.

perhaps they were brought up thinking that word is what love is about. Be that as it may,
A very lovely and deep insightful write. Think about it, if love starts in the home, then that's where they learned about it. Keep up the great work.u rock.

Ben
