Droplets

Contributed by Oreo_kisses on Tuesday, 2nd January 2007 @ 01:44:50 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Rain drops falling
Tears sliding down
A young girl’s cheek

As she watches from her step
The lightening flashes before her
Not being scared to cry

Knowing her tears
Would be masked
By the rain droplets

For during the storm
Was the only time
Others could see her fall

No one realized she was not strong
She was never scared to show her vulnerability to anyone
Since no one seemed to notice

She masked her weakness
By the earths tears
She showed herself she could
Still be strong yet cry at the same time
As the earth cried

This was heartfelt but i feel you could have expressed yourself in a deeper sense, it felt like you came across well enough but held back in certain parts. A good read nontheless!

In a not so strange way, ur poem stir two very different memories...

It reminds me of the song 'another day in paradise' and the Charlie Chaplin quote "i love walking in the rain, coz no one can see me cry"

Good work, keep it up !
