Silent survival

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Sunday, 31st December 2006 @ 11:53:18 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I talk
but no one listens
I leave
no one says good bye,
I have no shadow
I'm just another face
in the crowd
passing by.

I lay awake at night
and in the day
I search
for something to believe
cause I know
all the sighing
and silent crying
is all for nothing
if I
don't break free.

My soul
ebbs and flows
as my essence
slowly
starts to fade....

I exsist
in chaos and confusion
everyday
something goes wrong,
it's such a struggle
to find the reasons
to go on.

I was listening to a song tonight, this write reminded of it...lyrics.

wish we could talk,
somehow we never do

don`t even ask me how my day has been
looks like one of those evenings again

we sit here like strangers
I don`t know you anymore..

"I knew you when" you needed me...

lyrics by..Oleta Adams.

good write, ..Crow

Sad and heart wrenching write, just the kind of poem I like to answer, Please do not be offended, its just a thought. Your poem is very good, well done. Sue x

But go on you must,
And weather the storm,
For one day you will find,
A new chapter is born,

You won't feel so distant,
You will at last belong,
For faith in yourself,
Will move you along.

Hmm tough subject with excellent composition and highly confessional. From your first post to this there is a theme of Invisibility that captures both H.G. Wells and Ralph Ellison's take.

Well Done

your words speak to me in ways i cant yet understand let there be more
