My Shoes
She wanders the streets
without looking back.
Footsteps will fade,
but the past will remain.
They will stop to admire.
Can they see she's in pain?
The soles of her shoes
worn, barely gone.
This journey of hers
will it come to an end?

Short and sweet, right on. It packed a bit of a punch and to the question at the end, well it's all about your point of view and the objectives you hold or don't...[i think]

Again, beautiful. Sadness can bring words to you that you never knew you had, a great foe, but an ally nontheless.
May your sorrow fade, stay strong.
Take care,
