My opinion on Writing ( an answer poem to misfitme)

The writer he uses his quill to reveal,
His innermost feelings and a will to achieve,
The workings inside his brain you may find,
The ramblings of his inquisitive mind,
Not to be mistaken for boasting or power,
The poet will ponder for many an hour,
The words are there , they need a push,
And inspiration it comes with no rush,
The writing is beginning to take on a shape,
Be it sad or happy make no mistake,
It will capture the heart, it will capture the soul,
It makes you feel good, and makes you feel whole,
So the quill is the weapon, the paper the war,
To the writer, the battle needs nothing more,
So steadfast and with ease he fights the great cause,
That is my reasons to write ,What is yours?

First off - I have to say that I LOVE that you wrote an answer poem! And... it's a fabulous expression of your thoughts on writing as well.
And that question at the end, Sue? It has me seriously wanting to scribe an answer poem of my own. : )

Right on, sweetie...thanks for the mention & thanks for the message. I especially dug the following:

I want to say how very happy I am to see Sue write and post ... at all. I recall not long ago when the fire seemed to have fled her pen, at least she thought. Here I find proof that she was sadly ( or in my case GLADLY ) mistaken. Thank you Sue ... for Rhymesters and YPDC would not be near as much without you !!!

I gotta be careful when I say to you I'm gonna write a poem! So rather than say that I will, I'll just let you have the same quote I put in my comment to misfitme's post.
"To believe your own thought, to believe what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men - that is genius."
and, of unknown origin,
"Let the chips fall where they may".
Excellent answer poem, Sue x! You're takin' on quite a mastery of this craft. Please don't go away!!!!

Dearest Sue a fantastic answer poem in return to MisFitMe's write. Your quill is your weapon and you certainly know how to use it. Way to go superstar. I have always loved and enjoyed your work and I still continue to do so. Thanks so much for sharing with us your brilliant work.
