Single Red Rose

Contributed by Oreo_kisses on Friday, 29th December 2006 @ 03:56:54 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

A Vase Lies empty
For a year
Eagerly waiting
Upon its week
For the one
Fair single red rose
That gets placed in its grasp

For when its week is up
Knowing there was something
That meant more
Than any amount of money

That no amount
Of money could replace
The meaning
Of that one single red rose
Placed in this world
By our lord

It will be one thing
That the person
It was given to
Would never forget
The meaning maybe
Never topped

This feeling
Could never be replaced
By any money
The memories
May never be replaced
By anything else

The vase may hold
One of the most precious
Items known to anyone
With greater value than
Any other object
Could possibly

With its precious job
Nothing could possibly beat it
But one thing
One thing could have a better job
That would be
The one fair single red rose.
