As Each Year Passes
~
As each year passes,
I like to take a moment to count blessings.
Reflect on the past years lessons.
Take time to be thankful for,
My health, my employment, and my family.
Reflect on the living,
And the loved-ones who passed on.
~
As each year passes,
I like to set goals for the up-coming.
Realistic promises I tend to keep,
Resolutions that are within my grasp.
Yet that take growth to achieve.
~
As each year passes,
I feel encouraged to step beyond,
The past years failures and heartaches.
I like to place them in a box,
And Place them upon the highest shelf.
Not to be opened.
But to be as a reminder,
Of where I’ve been,
And where I am now going.

Dearest Jeff, I am so glad I popped on here tonight and read this. It is a very inspirational poem and although I do the same thing, it kinda gave me some things to think about.
Hope your Christmas was great and all the best for the new year.
