If only she knew

Contributed by sweetkisses0741 on Friday, 29th December 2006 @ 06:05:06 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

She sits in her room.

Just staring in the mirror.

She looks at her face.

It’s covered in pimples and scares.

Her nose is too big,

And her eyes are just not right.

She hates her smile.

It’s the part she hates the most.

Tears start running down her plump cheeks.

It kills her to know she can’t change any of it.

She never thinks she is good enough.

Not once in her life has she.

No one ever tells her she is pretty.

Only her parents,

But they don’t count.

“It’s their job,” she tells herself.

Guys never talk to her.

She thinks it’s because she is too ugly.

No one ever hugs her.

Only the people that ‘have to’ love her.

She has never felt the warm embrass of a man other then her father.

She has never heard caring words come from a mans mouth.

She has never felt like a man cares about her.

Not in a sexual way,

But in a caring way.

She hurts herself to see if then they will care.

But no one notices.

She does it worse and worse every time.

Soon it will take her over.

Soon she is going to loose control.

Of her mind and her body.

All she wanted was to be loved.

Now it is too late.

She has left us.

One night she couldn’t take it anymore.

She had to get away from all this.

It was not a painless death.

Not at all.

Everyday she ate less.

Everyday she cut deeper.

Everyday she collected one more pill.

Until that night.

That night she lost control

She gave into her mind.

She thought it was time.

Time to get away from everyone who was bringing her down

Everyone who was playing with her mind.

That very day her family died along with her.

And the people who cared about her the most.

She never realized how many people loved her.

They showed it to her but she didn’t see

They screamed it in her face but she didn’t hear.

She will be missed my many.

If only.

If only she knew.

this tore at the heartstrings...it is hard to accept anothers love until we learn our own worth and love ourselves

Brought me to tears reading this. I agree with Shari sometimes our blinders are on. Love must first come from within. Care to ourselves then to others. Our eyes will be opened to what is around us .
