Obsession

There once was a girl who so liked a boy,
But he didn't even know she was there.
So day to day she was slowly destroyed,
Her heart was everyday starting to tear.
But obsession is a powerful thing,
And her fantasies were anaesthesia.
She dreamed that he'd be calling and asking
To walk hand in hand in sweet elysia.
She blushed crimson when she saw him at school.
Timidly, she would smile and say hello.
He never would reply, thought her a fool.
She foolishly loved him more than he'd know.
All she wanted was all his attention,
His whole heart and soul, and his affection,
She only needed to be his possession.
He was perfect, he was her obsession.
There once was a boy who so liked a girl,
But she overlooked him altogether.
She was his beginning and end, his world,
His most inward dreams were all about her.
He saw her and saw his life in her hands,
And smelled her as she walked by, oh that scent,
And the way that she walked was like a dance,
And her sweet grace was truly heavensent.
There was a time when they were childhood friends,
Those memories were painful in his mind,
Because he knew all good times someday end,
But he knew that he loved her and must try.
So he treated her with a pretension,
And defended her as her protection.
He wanted her to be his possession,
He would change to become her obsession.

I really really like this poem. I thought it was well written and it had a good purpose. I, too, am guilty of liking someone so much that it soon became an obsession. I'm glad to say that that is no longer the case. I've moved on. But very good write. I really enjoyed it. Keep it up! XD

Well written I liked how it switched. Nicely done.
