My wandering eyes reach a familiar terrain,
Near its farthest reaches a dark wispy wood
And ponds gleaming with a greater glory.
Traveling further I notice
Even that small sloping hill seems enticing.
Oh! What I wouldn't do to touch that rich red Surface and the many treasures that lay within
Wandering still, my eyes reach
Two peaking mountain twins touched with a
Different snow.
The valley that separates the mountain sisters
Keeps together the smooth fertile plains that hold a delight all their own.
the smaller more...
Seductive forest tells me that I near the end
To a canyon I wish to dive into
To the waters I know lie below.

Great write, many times have I tried to produce a poem out of my feelings, but it seems you have done it for me. |
