These Eyes

Contributed by Epic on Wednesday, 27th December 2006 @ 10:23:22 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The reality of these eyes
Is that they’ve seen so much
They’ve witness numerical losses
As well as an endless struggle

I’ve felt the emotion of heart break
As well as the one to break a heart
I’ve had the people I love
Fight over childish things

I’ve seen tears and smiles
Laughing and crying
Experienced the ability
To fear the ones you love

I’ve seen the destruction
Of families relations
The spiteful nature
Of humanity

I’ve seen so much
That it makes me sad
It makes me hate
It makes me cry

Why me?
Why me?
I need to move on
And see that this is
Is what has truly
Made me, me

So what if the world was so negative
In the process of it’s horrible acts
It’s made something so right and positive
It made a boy that wishes to love life
And all the riches that come with it

It’s made someone that seeks
To see the beauty of its nature
Use everyone of his breaths
To express his love to others

Sure I’ve seen hate
But I have to realize
I’ve see more that that
I’ve love, happiness and beauty
In this forsaken world

I really enjoyed reading this poem. I can relate I've seen so much it's hard to handle and it's hard for people to understand. It all turns out ok in the end.

Great write keep up the good work.
