My mother,My friend.

Contributed by lowman613 on Wednesday, 19th February 2003 @ 10:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Loosing you was so hard to bare,
time just ticks away,
I miss your love, and all your care,
I think of you everyday,

I never thought it would happen to me,
what was I thinking then,
that one day your face I would'nt see,
or speak to you again,

I still cry for you, even more,
because now reality set in,
those times with you I did adore,
and left with this big guestion,

Why was it you, that had to go?
when I needed you to stay,
so much more I needed to know,
but you live in heaven today,

My mother ,My friend, I really miss,
the pain is so very deep,
how will I get through this,
when its your heart I need to keep,

I know in heaven you're having the time of your life,
as we sit here still to grieve,
Dads lonely missing his loving wife,
since the day you had to leave,

I feel for him in his lonely days,
as I sit here crying with him,
not really listening to what others say,
when his life is so painfull & dim,

There is'nt a time you leave our mind,
when we feel your spirit here,
so much memories we still find,
that brings us all to tears,

We will probably never understand,
why now you had to go,
I wish I could still touch your hand,
and tell you I love you so!

this is so beautiful... as i write i am grieving... my Grandmother passed on April 1, 1998 and i can relate this poem exactly to her... as i write, her cousin, Delores, who was raised as a sister to my Grandmother, lies in a hospital bed, braindead from a massive stroke on Friday... they are just waiting for her to pass... i am sad... she was the last link to a woman whom i love with all my heart... they came from Ireland and grew up together here... thank you, for this tribute to your beautiful Mother and for allowing me to remember my Grandmother and Delores, for both i love so dear...
