Such lonely hearts for love.

LoveRemembered

I remember love.
Remembering love, I remember pain.
I remember a weaker state.
A sadness, or softness, or having the reason for tears.
I remember an injustice, justly done, a mad honor placed upon a crumbling madness; such lonely hearts for love.
I remember her kiss, her smile, the soft desire hidden in her breath.
I remember love.
In remembering love, I remember eternity broken in the hand of time.
It is not about remembering what we have done, but what we could have done. It is not about what we see in the mirror, but of what we cannot see.
The world has become bustling and unattended.
All I can think of is what I could have had.
People are dying.
War is compelling, terrible, and sickening.
No war makes men.
They are boys still.
They are boys and they will die.
There is nothing else.
No happy moment left in memory; no jubilant, hesitant tears.
They will die, and as they lay dying, they will think of what they could have had.
We are all brothers in sadness.
We are all brothers in death.
Love is an empty thing.
It is a hole to be filled.
It is lifting winds come cold and strong.
It does not need to remember.
This is for the people of the world:
You are man, woman, child
You are tall short skinny fat
You are ugly beautiful
Intelligent uneducated educated
Intense subdued violent passive
You are nations
Moons
Stars across a falling sky
You are twilight hazel breathing leaves
Across the fields
You are sickened pale afraid to fail
You are clear pristine denied the passage
You are leaves against the trees
You are glances, whispers, hands and feet.
You are vacant and cold, you are hollow but filled.
You are the flowers of the fields of the dead.
But when it is that I come upon you, I will smile, and I will know life, for you, all you people of the world, you are life, and I embrace you.
You are at the end of my thoughts always, and I love you.
