A Life Forgotten

Memories like temples crumble beneath the sands of time
And into the depths of earth, untouched by sun they remain
Dreams become summer clouds to dance over land and sea
Spreading reflections of innocence on everyone embraced
Now caught among the living and the dead I finally make peace
And raising both hands to the heavens I sink back down to life
Forever to remember...
As eternity beacons to free us from our world
An old man will smile as if he’s seen it before
And into the setting sun
That wrinkled smile fades away
