A Distant traveler wanders farther from existence, from everything he knew. He has no idea where he is going; no one knows what he has been through. To go through life seems far enough, but his feet grow tired. He stands, for he doesn’t know what to do. His memories run through his head, but from its surface, none of it seems true. He wishes to go back, but where too?
He turns his head, and smiles at the image of a couple holding hands. His own feels frost bitten, dry and bland. The smile fades to resentment in everything he knew; running further, wondering what to do. Wishing he could feel the love others had, with blood running through. But his hand is lost, lost in all he once knew.
His heart becomes stiff, hard and cold. His eyes remain locked on the couple, wishing his past to be told. He gives his feet a rest, but standing he remains, he has places to go, he is trying to escape his pain. But his rest was short lived, for he must leave. He knows what he must do. He knows he can’t change the past, the future is all that is true.
