Darkness all around engulfing everything
A soul drug through misery and alone
Quiet tears of emptiness flow overwhelming
The soul wishing so greatly to have this burden lifted
The scars never healing only new scars being made
A heart in chains forged by decisions made in life
Sympathy not wanted for the soul awaits judgement
Not knowing any path that can lead unto the light
The soul waits with quiet tears as the only signs of life
Forgiveness is a fleeting dream at best
The darkness laughs at the misery
The soul kneels awaiting judgement upon it
No jury or judge coming for sentence is already passed
The soul knowing that its heart will never be lifted
The anguish of solitude forging the chains to imprison
Quiet tears the last sign of life from a soul lost in darkness...

I liked this piece very much. Scars run deep, and never go away. Keep your head up and in time you will forget they are there. Just another part of you that IS you.
