Parental Hell

Teary eyes swollen with pain
Senseless conflict that had no shame
Family affairs that cried for help
Siblings protected from parental hell
Sleepless nights curled up in bed
Restless morning filled with dread
Mothers addiction to spousal harm
How it seem she never cared
Moving onto a unrealistic world
Was so distant and seemed so spoiled
I wanted freedom from the war I lived
I wanted freedom from the life i lived
I got my freedom
I got my life
I got an outlook
That feels just right
So now I’m free
So now I’m free
So now I’m free
To live a new reality

Beautiful poem, I have felt your pain, now take your shoes off and go run in the rain!
There is so much life has to offer us, take it day by day, and enjoy!
Keep writing,
Naomi |
