These Stars

Topic: LovePoetry

Let me hold your hand.
So soft, carressing my face.
My head on your heart.
I hear it beating, steady.
I am comforted by you.

The stars above us
Shine more brightly than the sun.
What a stunning sight.
Your hand in mine, we lay here.
These stars that shine for us now.

These stars above us.
Gazing down from the black sky.
We lie here so still.
There is nothing else better
Than to be here by your side.

On my back I watch,
The beams of light shine downward.
Our radient love
Overpowers this night sky,
These simple constilations.

Lying in your arms.
I feel secure in this night.
These stars light for us.
These stars light for one reason.
They sense our love growing now.

You lift your strong hand.
Gracefully swaying it so.
One side to the next.
They seem to move with your hand.
They shimmer as you pass by.

You can light the stars.
One smooth flick of your finger.
You trace a picture
Guiding the stars in their place.
A love note made of these stars.

You set your arm down.
You have moved the stars like the gods.
The lights stay in place.
You've shown me what love can do.
You moved these stars just for me.
