You call me a Friend.

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

You call me a friend
Because it's true, I am
I'm here for you til the end,
Or for as long as i can.
I'll tell you my secrets
If you tell me all yours.
All of our regrets,
Hidden behind closed doors.
I'll call you on the phone,
When you're feeling all alone.
I'll be a shoulder you can cry on,
One friend you can rely on.
At every good-bye,
You look me in the eye.
Say "i love you a lot!"
But i guess that you forgot.
That friends are always there for you,
Even if they are mad,
Always asking what they can do,
To make you smile when you are sad.
A friend will keep your secrets too,
Not convince their friends to also hate you.
A friend would hold your friendship dear,
Not laugh in spite of your every tear.
You call me a friend,
Because it's true, I am.
But you are no friend,
No friend like I am.
See, I would never stab your back
Or lie right to your face.
I'll tell you what i think of you,
And that now i will replace.
A friend like you,
It's simple you see,
Because you were never a friend,
At least not to me.
