Burdens gathered

Topic: oops

As I sat silently listening
to the sweet songs of summer
as they serenade the darkening sky

I watch as the setting sun
echoes whispers of twilight
to bring to an end this another day

Alas, tis here I come to once again
lay down the burdens gathered
on this journey called life.
