Maybe you're not really happy with me,
Is there someone else you wanna see.
Right now things don't seem right,
Even on days we don't even fight.
We used to spend a lot of time with each other,
But now it's like you don't even bother.
You get mad at me for anything I say,
Now I just try to stay out of your way.
Sometimes I don't know what else to do,
When I sit here feeling like some fool.
I believe all the promises you make me,
Hoping it's not another lie you're telling me.
Lately, I've been getting really sad,
You see before things didn't seem so bad.
I miss all the times we used to have,
When we used to just sit there and laugh.
Or when we do things just to make each other mad and start to fight,
Only to turn around and kiss and make things alright.
If you want things to change between me and you,
At least let me know what you wanna do.
Don't worry about how it's going to make me feel,
At least you'll be keeping things real.

Nice rhyming for a poem of this lenght. I know from experience how hard it sometimes is- especially trying to keep it smooth.
How much the meaning of "friend" changes when a prefixis added to it. |
