My tears spill from my eyes.
They fall into a puddle.
I stand there watching the ripples my tears have caused.
Those ripples seem so lonely.
As lonely as I am, for those ripples never touch one another.
As I will never have my voice heard above the rest.
I walked shyly back into the crowd but still felt so alone.
Later that night, tears fill my eyes as I feel the pain.
I hope I didn’t over do it.
I hear a steady drip, drip, drip, but its not my tears this time.
The red puddle’s ripples look lonely.
But their loneliness temporarily relieves me of my pain.

Dearest Jen~
You are not alone in your feelings and actions. When I was fighting my last bout with depression, I cut myself too, I cried my eyes out too. I feel where you are coming from, but you have to keep your head high. Keep living each day like its your last, and when you wake up in the morning, smile and thank God for letting you see the sun, the sky and your loved ones one more time.
We all have been where you are, you are not alone in this pain.
We are here to talk.
