Your Colors Run

I’m burning.
I’m burning.
I’m burning these memories of you.
As the ashes rise towards the heavens so do my dreams.
Who needs them anyway when they’re nothing but overstatements and lies?
You’ve shown your true colors.
Colors I haven’t wanted to see.
They change with the weather and run with your mascara.
Just like the color of your hair, you’re not who you pretend to be.
What are you hiding?
I have a feeling its more than your roots.
I don’t know what you had to gain
but I can tell you what you’ve lost
and it’s more than your mind.
You’re a conflicted little girl and I can see right through you.
Maybe you should figure out who you are
and what you want
before you start making demands on other’s lives.
Why should I feel so small when you’re the one who is coming up short?
I see to you it’s all a game.
Well, this is what I’ve found:
You can’t lose a game you don’t play.
So I forfeit and I’ll see you around.

Your emotion runs throughout this I like that.
Yes at times we need to let people go who are hurting our soul and wellbeing as hard as it may be. A strong good write.
