I never knew the toll you would take
I close my eyes but can't escape.
I sit and remember the good times we had
my mind wonders if they out weigh the bad.
I see you here, there, and about
(I need something to drink,
somthing tall something stout.)
I chase the pain
with every last drop.
Everyone tells me
I really need to stop.
No one can see what I see in you
They say, get over it, it's done, it's though.
I can't walk away
and I can't give up
So if you say you don't love me
I'm ***** out of luck.

I really liked this poem. The last two stanzas are the best. I really like the line that goes
"No one can see what I see in you
They say, get over it, it's done, it's though."
I can relate to that. Good work. |
