I Never

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Wednesday, 19th February 2003 @ 05:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I never realized how lonely I was,
Until she got the guy.
The one who said he liked me,
I guess that was a lie.

I never knew that I hurt so bad,
Until they got my best friend.
Mine forever, till I moved,
It was never supposed to end.

I never realized how empty,
Life is without your mom.
But he stole her away anyway,
Never underestimate the dumb.

I never knew how instable,
A life filled with nobodies can be,
But they showed me I was wrong,
And then I was not able to be me.

I never wanted another friend,
But you were always there,
No matter how I treated you,
It shows you really care.

I never want to hurt you now,
You are the best thing that's happened to me,
And though you can't erase the pain,
You allow me to be care-free.

Precious are the few who can take the weight of anothers pain upon themselves and still continue by their side. A sad piece to be sure but filled with promise through the sacrifice and dedication of one person.

This piece is inspirational in that it shows each of us the ability we have to make a difference in someones life if we just take the time to care.

Nice write.
