How shall I care for thee,
My summer's rose?
Shall I caress thy petals and kiss thy stem,
Or to thee dedicate my prose?
Should I smell thy perfume,
Emitted from thine being?
Shall I hold thee to the wind,
Or hide thee from all seeing?
I guess I shall leave it to the fates,
And allow thine fragrance to consume mine heart.
As I fall in love with thine beauty
I lift my prayer that we never part.

I like the vivid gentle strokes of passion that are brushed so eloquently across the heartstrings of love. Such beautiful words and symbolisms, they paint a lovely picture that is very much enjoyed. |
