The thoughts that scatter around this already fractured skull,
The glass may be half empty, but the bottle is still half full,
A blank sheet of paper, a new, fresh start;
Take out a pen, and graffiti my heart,
Two eyes that meet, across a crowded, empty room,
A flower, in the winter, that bursts into bloom,
And when this show is over, stand up, take your bow,
“I’ve been here, and gone” you say, “somehow.”
Baby, don’t leave me tonight, can’t face the dark on my own,
“I’ve never really loved you” he smiles, “I know; I’ve always known”.
The room glows that same shade of blood, and I’m wrapped up in my own disgust,
Disgusted at you, sick of me, how could I be so consumed by lust?
The bed smells of sex, wrapped up in my scent,
It was here last night, tell me, where it went,
Desire, and need, the ache in my bones,
Body now bruised, cracked open by stones.
I’ve given everything I never had, to a man that doesn’t care.
I gave him everything, that he wanted; just to keep him there.

wow very expressive and i loved the way this flowed and was straight forward.. and this is true for some people. they give everything to keep someone there even though deep down the person doesn't care but they try to make them.. this is a very expressive well put into words view on that .. awesome job

Good Vent!!! You made a "blank sheet of paper" a valuable snapshot of "glass half empty/bottle half full" disclosure of your momentary condition of "fractured skull". I really enjoyed this piece, Ruby. Good to see ya back. I'll be around for the next couple weeks. Let's keep in touch.
