Sinner

Contributed by Ratwick on Sunday, 17th December 2006 @ 03:52:40 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

O Mother, my Mother,
Forgive me I've sinned
It's too late
To turn back
So now I'll begin
A great downward journey
Filled with Needles and Pins
O Mother, my Mother,
Forgive me I've sinned

O father, My father
Where have you been?
It's too late
To come back
So I hope you can't live
With a lifetime of Lies
Dead Locks and Old Skin
O father, My father
you've taught Me this

My whole life I done wasted
I jaded my soul
Now the Bottle is Empty
I've drank enough for us both
But Life ain't waitin
For us to grow old
So talk straight, 'n I'll chase
With this songs sad note

O Mother, My Mother
Forgive me I've sinned
I've done what you said
And it came from Within
I Gave!
And I've Loved!
And still Hell took me in
O Mother, My Mother
Forgive me I've sinned

Great flow, but as to the, "Message"...well, just know that beyond the concept of, "Sin" there lies a really cool place of acceptance for our human frailty. Hope to meet up w/ you there...someday...

" Yet we have been captured by the thieves of the night
held for ransom, if you please...
Heaven help the Devil
may he have a few unpleasant memories..."

I love the usage of apostrophe in here. We are all sinners, and our imperfections are what bind us to this earth, as well as what bind us together. It's how we react to our actions that tell people who we really are. Great write!
