I sit in the shadows of the Sun
Wondering if I'm the only one
In this dark and dreary place.
When I look into a puddle, it's my own face
Staring back at me.
My dilated eyes can hardly see
Through the choking fog
That's hidden me from you;
That's hidden everyone I knew.
Thinking that I'm the only one,
I walk the shadows of the Sun.
Hoping to find the place
Where I recognize the lonely face
Looking up at me from deep inside the puddle.
I strain my ash colored eyes
And try to see past the disguise.
I wander in the shadows of the sun,
Knowing that I am the only one
Who's lost in the shadows.
Lost in the shadows.
Lost in the shadows of the Sun.

We are all lost in the shadows of the sun, but isn't the light of the eclipse so soft, its mood lighting! An excellent poem, I thoroughly enjoy it~ Thanks for posting~
