anguished

I would have doubted
first
that the moon don't shine
that dogs don't bark
before
I ever would have doubted you.
me
that was so sure
that we belonged together
but it's all changed now
what do we have if we do not have trust?
you doubted me
that hurts
that wounds
I guess
I am aimless now
Myhap
time to wander
alone.
I am
but a shadow
of what could have been
the sun has set on
what I had wanted
and I am
left
with
empty dreams
and
all consuming sadness.
Accelerate time to let the healing begin...

indeed, betrayal is the most potent poison that penetrates even the thickest skin, into our hearts.
Great write!
