Pretend Like It's Not Killing You

Contributed by decibel on Thursday, 14th December 2006 @ 04:06:04 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

if it was the wind i could understand

the reasons for your feelings and

how you can just sit with me by my side

letting the wind make your mind decide

that it wasn't me for you to give a chance

it was another boy from failed romance

that you wanted to walk with you

hoodies, hands and leaves, not me with you

cause its in the air, cause its in the breeze

cause messes my hair and it scatters leaves

i cant help it if i like you

i cant help it if i care

and i cant help it that you dont

want my life to share

i know this just means nothing

and i'm sure some day i'll quit

but i feel so much with you

its ****** hard to forget

that its in the air, that its in the breeze

that it messes my hair and it scatters leaves

but if i've learned one lesson

it would just be this

make sure someone likes you

before you feel like this

because its hard to go back

to the way it was before

after feeling like this

just friends can be no more

i like the poem - very sad and it really expresses emotion in a string fashion.
Well done.

liked it very much. my style is emotion too. it is me...
i have in my life known this emotion and remember only too well how painful it can be. love is not always well matched and loving someone more will always happen, just not nice to be on lesser recieving end.
the best love is recpirocated as i am learning about just now, to feel equal, free yet loved for who u are.
regards
maggie

This was a strong expression of a well known and unforgettable time in a life when the object of our affection does not see us in the same light of love.

Reminds me of unrequited crushes and loves from junior and senior high, with a much more mature and soulful understanding.

Peace~
Lori
