I don’t want my own Zelda
Fitzgerald’s foolish game
while I understand his heart
I sure don’t want the same
I want a heart
I long for art
not some twisted law
I just want life to start
My quarter life crisis
so much time I waste
pursuing a hopeless dream
when love’s all I want to taste
Summer’s on it’s way
plants wilt more each day
friends refuse to wake
no-one’s got anything to say
Here stands a confused boy
bottled thoughts I can’t share
giving all the love I have
just asking for what’s fair
No, I want no Zelda
but I’ve already held her
I’m just a lost lover
with Fitzgerald as my elder.

Very deep and emotional but sad and I love the way you use Fitzgerald to explain what’s going on. Wonderful, wonderful, I like everything about this write, and the more I read it the more I understand and like it! |
