You'll never really know
How much you make me suffer,
How you make my life that much harder and
How you take away what matter's most to me.
I need to run for cover -
Away from this pain,
But it's not so simple because we share one roof.
I know that I can't change you,
Believe me I’ve tried.
You've also said you'd never -
Now all I do is cry.
This aching, this burning inside me never sleeps.
You're constantly igniting the flame.
I want to run for cover,
But I’ve nowhere to go.
Being so overprotective slowly kills my soul.
Always being at each other's throats
Is a hobby we've adopted.
Your ways of perfection drive me insane
And a house can't be home when it's so irritatingly clean.
I admit I do wish there was another like you,
It might be wrong, but so is what you do to me.
Your past plays a part in your present,
And I see what it’s done to you,
But that doesn't mean I also have to live it through.
I have to run for cover,
But I’ve nobody to turn to.
The outside world doesn't understand me,
And for that I blame you.
