The Forsaken Children

Contributed by mohan on Wednesday, 13th December 2006 @ 04:31:55 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Tears cloud my eyes,
To see those unfortunate children,
Born in poverty and suffering,
Plagued by disease and illness,
Starved for food and shelter.
Their skeletal frame,
Icon of the deprived children.
Their swollen heads,
A blot on the civilised society.
Their melancholy large eyes,
Showcase the fate of poverty-stricken.
And a few days they live,
In makeshift camps,
Fighting desperately,
Against disease and death.
Oh ,God, why are you so unfair
Against your own creations?
While, even pet dogs are pampered in luxury,
The forsaken children lead a dog’s life.
What justice is there in your governance?
Were they born to die untimely?
Are they victims of inexorable fate?
The countries rich and affordable,
Squander away their wealth,
Indulging in unwarranted wars,
Causing irreparable loss of human life.
Can’t they stop their senseless,
And brutal onslaught against the vulnerable,
And make a crusade against poverty,
And save the poor children,
From death, disease and misery?
When I think of the forsaken children,
Tears no more cloud my eyes,
But run down my cheeks profusely.

A wonderful poem! A message that more need to hear! Im sure youand many others know this, and it is a hard practice to follow, but we can save these children, and by doing so save ourselves... Dont vote for the politician who promises these things, well you can but it wont make much difference. Your best vote is spent with your dollar. Do NOT buy fast food, they steal the land and farms that once fed these kids. Do NOT shop at Wal Mart or anywhere else that sells manufactured goods that were made from the resources that were stolen and enslaved. You can make your monthly donation that'll bring pretty faces to show these kids to you on Tv, but you be giving much more by not giving your dollar to these companies.
Research how it all works, you'll see what I mean.
anyways, sorry for ranting. just shows how good your work is, it got me fired up!
Thanks for the post!
Write On!
Peace
