One whole year has gone by
And I'm still asking why
Missing you more and more each day
Trying to find comforting words to say
As the days pass, some good, some bad
The good days are remembering
The great times we had
But the bad days, searching
For answers we don't have
There's an ache in our hearts
that won't subside
Still wishing you were here by our side
I still see your smiling face in photographs
But it's just not the same
as hearing your laugh
Staying strong and knowing we must
Go on is the hardest part
We seemed to make it this far,
365 days since
We have been apart.
