I said this is a target you can’t miss
As I blew a secret kiss
You took the words so very wrong
That is why I write you this song
To hold you and to love you
In everything I do
You rock my world upside down
For you I remain a loving clown
I know you say it will never be
I bide my time wait and see
To hold you and to love you
In everything I do
I see your tears when you’re sad
Even when a passing fad
I just want to hold you and love you
In everything that I do
You rock my world upside down
For you I remain a loving clown
To stop things from going bad
To keep you happy never mad
I long for you in the night
With hidden tears from my sight
To hold you and love to you
In everything I do
You rock my world upside down
For you I remain a loving clown

many a time have clowns been used in music ..the painted smile when there is sadness inside always make a fitting contrast. |
