How long does it take for all of this to end?
When are you going to realize
I was just trying to be a friend.
Many nights I lay awake
Wondering what is going to happen
because of this mistake.
I would have been there for you
then I realized that the
last of our friendship is through.
What a fool was I
for relying on false words
you told by and by.
I shouldn't be threatened by the cold words you speak
It was your help
I tried to seek.
Good bye to the friendship we had
Too bad that you had to be
my childrens dad.

Wow I liked this as well as the surprise ending. I too have lay there at nite and realized some 'friendships' just weren't worth it. Great poem.
