I Wanna Live Forever...

Contributed by doug on Friday, 8th December 2006 @ 10:59:16 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Have you ever been washed in the soul of a night ;
heard thunder crack over evening light ;
felt the beat pulsing from the heart of a city?
Did you ever drown in the winds feelings...
Have you ever made love in the heat of an evening
as it hung on the edge of the rain bleeding.
Have you ever felt the pain receding
but knew you wanted more ,
you needed more.
Baby I want to live forever.
I want to die forever...
in your arms
in YOUR arms.
What I am.
What you are.
What we are together.
Right Here , Right Now...
I wanna live forever...

... If this is a song (which it probably is), and you're a musician (which you probably are)... I would love nothing more than to hear these words acompanied with music. If you have already recorded it... I implore on both knees, please send it to me.

This is... phenomenal. Overflowing with emotion and unconditional passion. Beautiful, and a hint of sensuality:

Have you ever made love in the heat of an evening

Accompanied by delicious morbidity:

as it hung on the edge of the rain bleeding.
Have you ever felt the pain receding
but knew you wanted more ,
you needed more

I can't express how much I absolutely adore those lines... The poem in its entirety is gorgeous, heartwrenching even... But those lines made my skin tingle, my eyes roll back in unison with my head. For they all remember the delightful agony... the love in it... and, always, the lust for more.

Gosh I got ahead of myself, *giggles*. Apologies. Your writing is rich with color and voice. It echoes through the chambers of my mind like a haunting melody, through my veins like the perfect drug, and can you blame me for coming back? You are an addiction. But you, unlike my others, aren't harmful. Or maybe you are... No matter, I enjoy it all. Again, thank you so much for sharing your soul with us. Eternally beautiful. This piece will live forever.

~Fleur
