Tonight
Tonight I lay down alone,
Just talking to you on the phone.
Lay down to rest my head,
Dreaming of you beside me on my bed.
I think of you throughout my dreams,
And to me it just seems.
That tonight you will be dreaming of me too,
Thinking of me as your “boo.”
Tonight we will click on another level,
Tonight I’ll make a deal with the devil.
What we have will be mental,
And I promise to be gentle.
We will share this dream tonight,
Let see what these dreams just might.

I like this poem. It seemed to
have a soft flow to it and it felt
relaxing to read. The night time
is the right time. Nice work.

Great topic, even as I write this I am thinking of someone who is far away who I'll be talking on the phone with and wishing there were fewer miles between us. Thanks for sharing.
