Denied my Escape

Contributed by nothingness on Friday, 8th December 2006 @ 09:30:32 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I know there isn’t much to say
I never thought I would see this day
But somehow things didn’t go as planned
Why I’m awake I don’t understand
I guess maybe it wasn’t meant to be
Maybe I am jut never going to be free
To live this life in eternal sorrow
Waking up everyday to face the next tomorrow
To dream of nightmares every night
To loose every battle and every fight
To make the cuts deeper and deeper
To dig my hole steeper and steeper
I guess that’s what life is all about
To see everything you can’t go without
I guess alone and silent I must suffer
I just wish that I could be tougher
But here I am I tried to end it all
But I guess the cuts were just too small
I realize I have to just live and deal
And face this nightmare that is so real
Thanks to all the made me open my eyes
I guess I wasn’t ready to give out my goodbyes

I very much enjoyed this wright. The best poems are not verses that we sit down and think about, they are when you've had a slew of things pelting your life and you sit down one evening and the words just flow off your mind. The result is wonderful poems like this. Great wording, good rhyme scheme, good imagery. 4/5.

You know, you don't have to suffer in silence.

That you're writing is a good sign, to me, it shows that you do really want some help.

Well, I offer an ear to you, I don't know you, but your situation is familiar, and listening doesn't cost a thing.

Think about it, before trying to take your own life again, ok?

Take care,
*hugs*

Hey, I read your words and sadness evoked my heart~ Dear friend taking your life is not the answer. I sought professional help 6 years ago and that has made a world of a difference for me. It actually saved my life and made me a much stronger & better person. There are lots of people here including myself who are willing to listen and help you out. Please feel free to pm me any time you want. Chin up sweet girl and may your journey through life ahead be much brighter~
hugs n prayers,
sue m
