As the wind blows
I feel his breeze.
He's trying his hardest
To keep me at ease.
In the gust of air
I feel his soul.
He's there to guide me,
He's my patrol.
He follows me closely
As I walk through the dark.
And even closer
When he sees a spark.
As I walk through the graveyard,
Up to his tombstone,
I realize how much
My misery has truly grown.
As these thoughts linger in my head
I say this can't be true.
And when I turn around,
I say 'God, I miss you'.
When I try
These thoughts just won't go away.
I can't stop thinking about you,
For any one day.
These thoughts won't go,
So I think why even bother.
So this just may be,
My Ode,
To my father!
