A Neoteric Monadic or Muse

Topic: ChristianPoetry

Lord, I sometimes stop to ponder

What hallucinogenic drug you're under

What other reason could there be

Unless you're trippin on LSD

For making such disastrous slips

You must be having some bad 'trips'

Why else would things be in such a mess

Stop putting things to an acid test.

Upon a time you chose to speak

Have you now then passed your peak?

Are your children not attendant?

Or, do you take the fifth amendment?

C'mon Lord let's hear it now

We can't drink of milk from 'sacred cows'

Hey! you there in the firmament

Do you condone the establishment?

Or should we now put our faith

In members of our human race?

Are you a grown ups security blanket?

We're not a child to reward or spank it.

C'mon Lord you're losing face

We're traveling now in outer space

If you don't soon kick your habit

Your power goes to those who'd grab it.

C'mon now Lord get off the pot

Uh, wait I'll give it some more thought.

rw

What a brave rant.. it has a questioning and mad upward glare...Really well done terse effective sentences wrapped around a huge 'nut'
of expression.

I dig man tellin' the Man about the man... (snaps fingers to hidden ryhtyms)

I am sure you will post again soon just to show everyone you were not struck down for such poetic boldness.

Peace
Yang

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
