Betrayal

Walking with the wind against your hair
Blowing, stinging your hands
but stroking your face
with the feeling of betrayal in your blood
That runs cold with a hot flush
Whenever your eyes lay upon hers
Your heart rate increases
Sending shivers through your body
That alert you to dangers
You don’t even understand
As she walks on oblivious
Heartlessly and uncaringly oblivious
But you feel the blood rushing through
Your fingers and ears and toes
But it doesn’t matter
It doesn’t care
With you feeling chained with a wall and choking on
Your own blood that courses through your own veins
And the laugh that echoes in your skull
That creates ruthless anger and despair
When no other being cares and you
Retreat into a corner
With the stare of hate that sticks
And pastes itself behind your eyes with an affectionate loving glow
