Jaded, I suppose.

Jaded by the past
I'm supposing is my
Excuse
Not the reason,
For why my demons control me
Possess me
Why people fear me
An inverted anger
Escapes with each breath
Am I sorry?
Sometimes
Lost in twisted confusion
Only time can heal
The drumming in my mind
The heart in my throat
Choking on my words
An awkward beat
Help me,
I’m suffocating.

This was very quick and very powerful. It is difficult to forgive or forget those unfortunate "demons" that plague us, so much so that they begin to control us, indeed seeming to suffocate. But find your way back to the hearts of the demons, and you will find your way back to sweet breath and control. Keep up the good work and my best of luck to you! |
