The Blackest Day

I never knew such darkness
Until today
I never felt such sadness
Until today
I cried the light away

The darker side awoke
Its presence within me spoke
I felt it coming alive
Blackening my day
I could not fight

I never saw such blackness
Until today
I never felt such emptiness
Until today
I chased the light away

Black tears fell
Staining my heart
Scaring my soul
I looked in the mirror
And liked myself better

I didn't know my purpose
Until today
I didn't know my destiny
Until today
I hide in the dark today

Now I know
And here I'll stay
As I fell
On the Blackest Day

This was really good.. I liked the flow and the way the poem was composed... Great job...
