selfstruggles

When the world crumbles
And words are all that’s left,
Will you be full of remembrance,
Or full of regrets?
And even if you never see it,
I always have, always will.
You can’t fake the murder of conscience
With the endless echo of the victim’s scream, so shrill.
It takes the strongest of wills
Not to stop you in your tracks,
Weaponry of insult I have too.
But I’m too noble to fight back,
To break someone down like you do.
I hope to God you’ll look back sometime
To see all the people you’ve hurt, your terrible crimes,
And slowly, painfully it will kill you too,
We'll have peace at last when the villain is through.
