The heat is breaking your mind
Not thinking straight
Never realizing till it's over
What it is you’ve done
Finding you're not the person you thought you were
Regretting everything from that night
I had her close
She was already taken
But that didn’t stop me
And I’m not who I want to be
Fatal mistakes we can’t take back
I’m thinking of her
She’s thinking of him
Crying herself to sleep
I’m awake trying to forget
Burnt and tired
Walking around just for something to do
I had her close
She was already taken
But that didn’t stop me
And I’m not who I want to be
The heat broke our minds
We weren’t thinking straight
Never realized till it was over
What it was we had done
Not the people we thought we were
Regretting, while enjoying everything from that night

Sometimes in the heat of the moment we don't think of the consequences our mistakes can have. Once done it can't be turned back. Unfortunately one has to live with the outcome of their mistake.

| well, now everyone makes mistakes, and of every size you just have to hope that fate will take place and let your mistakes fade distant, so i hope (if this is a real life event) that everything gets better, |
