Warmth from the embers

You look at me and smile
Warmth coming from your face
Is that warmth for me?
Does it invite an embrace?
If it invites my embrace
Is my touch what you seek?
Or is it something more
A gift much more unique?
If it’s the gift you desire,
The gift I long to give,
Will you cherish it?
As long as we live?
This gift I hope you seek
A gift no package could hold,
The gift of love,
Unadulterated, unfathomable to behold.
Something I’ve been dying to give
Something I’ve been dying to show.
I love you so much
Unequivocally, undeniably so.
